is one of a group of companies formed in 1975 with the primary focus of developing office and research & development projects in the I-270 corridor in Montgomery County, Maryland. John T. Kenney, President and founder, and Howard C. Brown, co-founder, have been responsible for the development of over 1,500,000 square feet of office space in the corridor. We want to thank our customers,associates, vendors and partners for a successful 2011. Durring early 2011 we experienced our largest vacancy rate at Research West since the buildings were new. Today we are 94% leased.

In an effort to recognize energy conservation in 2012 and forward, Realty Capital Management continues to implement energy saving programs including fluorescent lamp replacement and installation of electronic ballasts. Saturday HVAC services are by request but not at additional cost between the hours of 9 AM and 12 noon. Since implementation in January of 2008 we have reduced HVAC costs by approximately 4%. Since lighting represents about 50% of office building electric costs we hope to reduce this cost by approximately 12%, and are thereby reducing tenant operating expenses.
